BUTCHER ACCEPTS NATIONAL AWARD. Hank Butcher, inducted into the National Midget Hall of Fame last summer, accepted his plaque at the recent Bay Cities Racing Association Awards Banquet. Butcher was unable to attend the formal induction ceremonies in Indiana. He and his wife Sharon attended the BCRA function where he was awarded the plaque by National Midget Hall of Fame committee member Floyd Busby.

Butcher's racing career included four BCRA championships with 79 BCRA feature wins, placing him third on the all-time BCRA win column behind Johnny Baldwin and Freddie Agabashian. He went on to capture numerous national wins in addition to his victories in Australia and New Zealand.
