MESERAULL CHARGES TO WIN AT SHASTA RACEWAY PARK
SEPT. 25: Thomas Meseraull did it the hard way, charging from his
13th starting position to win the Bay Cities Racing Association Midget feature
in the "Pop Porter Memorial" at the Shasta Raceway Park in Anderson, CA.,
doing so after receiving a penalty.

LEWIS WINS BCRA/USAC HARVEST CLASSIC AT MADERA
Sept. 18: The United States Auto Club Western States Midgets and
Bay Cities Racing Association Midgets came together to co-sanction the 33rd
annualar Harvest Classic at chilly Madera Speedway Saturday evening. At the
end of 40 laps, Michael Lewis stood in the winner's circle, having driven
brilliantly in the Western Speed Racing #40.

SEPT. 4: Michael Lewis topped the field in the Bay
Cities Racing Association Midget feature at the Stockton "99" Speedway.
The Indiana driver scored the 30-lap run from his 14th starting position,
leading two BCRA rookies across the line aboard the pristine Western Speed
Racing Esslinger powered Beast.

CHRISTIAN BORN AGAIN WITH SANTA MARIA MIDGET WIN
AUG. 7: Jimmy Christian would seem to have been born with an
affinity for the Santa Maria Speedway, taking his second Bay Cities Racing
Association Midget win of the season on the quarter-mile clay oval.
Christian romped his Riolo Chevy powered Stealth to
the 30-lap win on Larry Ulam's heavy track that remained in supreme condition
throughout the evening and produced track records in both the Midget and
Sprint Car venues.

JULY 31: Brian Gard emerged the winner in the Bay Cities Racing
Association Midget feature at the Twin Cities Speedway in a caution-plagued
event that saw ten caution flags and was shortened to 24 laps.
Starting the anticipated 30-lap feature from fifth, Gard managed to elude
multiple tangles and spins while navigating the quarter-mile dirt oval aboard
the Borghesani Beast/Gaerte Chevy.

JULY 17: Thomas Meseraull overcame a winless season to claim

"99" Speedway after six "near-miss" second -place finishes. He was so thrilled
with the victory that he celebrated with a 360-degree "Nextel Cup Moment"
burnout spin before pulling up to the finish line to receive his laurels.

MOSTIN SCORES LAKEPORT MIDGET WIN BY INCHES
JUNE 5: Eric Mostin scored his first Bay Cities Racing
Association Midget win at his hometown track, Lakeport Speedway, escaping the
challenges of Thomas Meseraull by mere inches. The finish was so close that
Meseraull pulled up to the finish line believing that he was the winner. Mostin
was pushed to the line after spinning in the first turn following the checkered
flag. Closely rounding out the duo was Tony Hunt.

GARD SCORES FIRST WIN IN BCRA MIDGETS AT REDWOOD ACRES
MAY 22: Rookie standout Brian Gard scored
his first career Midget win at the Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka at the annual
Bay Cities Racing Association event.
Scheduled to start the 30-lap feature on the outside
of the second row, circumstances moved him to the front when Pete Davis
experienced mechanical problems in his Esslinger/Beast after being pushed off
for the event.

COONS CAPTURES PACIFIC NORTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIP MIDGET FEATURE
MAY 15.: Jerry Coons hooked up with the Stealth Motorsports West house car to
capture the 40-lap feature at the annual Pacific Northwest Midget Championship
race at the Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon.
The Arizonan began his quest with a new automatic qualifying Midget track record on the 4/10-mile paved oval in the co-sanctioned Bay Cities Racing Association and Washington Midget Racing Association event, taking the lead from BCRA rookie Greg Dennett on the 33rd lap to win over the 24-car starting field.
HUNT TAKES EXCITING VUKOVICH CLASSIC MIDGET WIN
MAY 1: Tony Hunt held off the repeated challenges of Thomas Meseraull to score the feature Midget win in the annual Vukovich Classic at the Madera Speedway.
Hunt, the fastest qualifier in the Western Speed Racing Beast/Esslinger,
took the lead on the 26th lap in one of the
hardest-fought USAC/BCRA co-sanctioned Midget races in recent memory. Hunt
started in the tenth position in a compromise format agreed upon by the two
racing organizations.

HUBERT DISCOVERS GOLD IN BCRA HANGTOWN MIDGET WIN
APRIL 17: Michael Hubert III, making his dirt track Midget debut,
discovered gold at the Placerville Speedway, just minutes away from the
original discovery of gold that created the famed California Gold Rush of 1849
and created the settlement where the speedway now rests, then known as "Hangtown".

Michael Lewis Endures for 100 Lap USAC Western States Cash
April 10 - The United States Auto Club Western States and Bay Cities
Racing Association came together for the 2nd Annual Fred Gerhardt Classic for
midgets Saturday night. Under breezy conditions the speedy cars took to the
one-third mile paved oval Madera Speedway for a 100-lap 'throwback' style
race.

ALVIS BEGINS NEW SEASON WITH FEATURE WIN
MARCH 28: Floyd Alvis began his quest for an
eighth championship with the win in the Bay Cities Racing Association feature at
the Stockton "99" Speedway Sunday afternoon.
The 69-year-old veteran drove his Interstate Batteries Stealth/VanDyne
to the 30-lap victory over Thomas Meseraull.
Meseraull traveled to Stockton following his win in the televised second "Twin
25" at the Irwindale Speedway the previous evening. He drove the Bill Ferrari
Beast/Brayton Ford from seventh to challenge Alvis over the waning laps.
