Madera’s Vukovich Classic – 5/5/2018
Well hello again just a few words about the Vukovich Classic, it’s a special event. The racing went all day long and well into the night. How about 9 different groups of cars at the Vukovick Classic is a special event for Madera and we all love the Vukovick family and their contribution to racing, The cars in attendance at the event; California Hard Tops, Vintage Open Super Modifieds, NCMA Sprints 360 Super Modifieds, Legends of the Kerney Bowl. Western US Midgets, BCRA Midgets, Legends and BCRA Vintage Midgets.
Our regular Midget Division put on a great show, with Jerome Rodela winning the main event. 11 cars started the event but trouble along the way put a few cars out of business. Our Vintage group did well and was looking good we had 7 cars. Paul & June Ferreira didn’t run their #36 car as they had no driver, maybe next time. We would like to say something about Bob Mastroleo or “the Wop” as he likes to be called. Would you believe he comes all the way from LA to support our show and run his fast Offy Midget with us .We can’t say enough about this guy his love of racing and we really appreciate him. He is also a full pledge member of our group. We really appreciate having him along with all of our members who come to the tracks with their cars. Come on guys we really need more cars to help with the count, so let’s continue to bring them out and have fun and having fun is what it’s all about.
