Hi all, well the 2nd Madera event is in the books with the vintage guys, car count was a little low, however things worked out OK. The real racers put on a great show as usual guess who won again, Courtney Crone, this girls is fast and very good. We had others groups running with us, NCMA Sprints, CSS/360 Super Modifieds, Legends of Kearney Bowl, Senior Open Vintage Super Modifieds, California Hard Tops, USAC HPD Midgets, Legends of the Pacific, and West Coast Sportsman stock cars in a 75 Lap race!
Vintage Midget cars, drivers and guest at Madera; #16 Tommy & Sammy Belfiore Chevy II, #57 Bob Pena & Jamie Hood Chevy II, #17 Doug Shanoian Offy, #2 JP Shanoian Chevy II, #8 Richard Walsh Marmon Static Display, # 33 Janet Vukovich King V8-60 Static Display & # 2 Billy Vukovich Volvo Static Display. Pushing BCRA Midgets with his quad Paul Ferreira. .
We had a 8 lap heat and a 10 lap main the guys put on a real good exhibition for the fans. The weather was good all day, just a little windy. The car count goes up and down for different reason all the time, not everyone can make all of the events. Remember guys this is your club and if you don’t support it, things can change. They go to a lot of trouble to get these events and we have to make them work. Car counts are important, so if possible we’ll be looking forward to seeing you at our next event at Ukiah on May the 20th, good job guys and thank you.
