Man “O” Man. what a show at Madera the Regular Midget’s put on, racing real hard battle for the lead, which changed several times and the main was finally won by car #29 driven by Cody Gerhardt. Our group the Vintage Division had a lot of fun with our heat, main 8 and 12 laps. Our car count was good with 9 cars, Bob Mastroleo had come all the way from Monrovia with his powerful Offy to run with us, also our new regular Jim Soares with his V8-60, he’s really having fun with his Kurtis and he’s a real asset to our club. We ran with Midget NCMA/PER, Sprints USAC, HPD Midgets,, Vintage Supers, BCRA/USAC Midgets and Winged Sprints/Super Modifieds.. Thank you Kenny Shepherd and your wonderful staff for an eventful event.
It was hot in Madera all day we got through that OK. It was really great to see Norm Gray he came to spend the day with us, it’s good he’s keeping active after the lost of his wife Carol, but you have to keep moving forward. The next stop for the Vintage division will be Lakeport 7/5 hope to see you all there.
